Title
Study yield stability of 40 bread wheat genotypes in Kerman region using univariate stability parameters
Authors
Abstract
In order to assess yield stability and adaptability of 40 bread wheat genotypes, six randomized complete block design with three replications were conducted in three years under normal and drought stress conditions. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) for each environment was done to test uniformity of experimental error variance. Subsequently, combined analysis of variance was performed for all environments. Significant genotype × environmental interaction indicates different reaction of genotypes in diverse environments. Based on type I parameters, Azar2 with minimum environmental variance and coefficient of variation and high yield was the most stable cultivar. While, based on type II parameters, Alamoot and Kavir with high yield and less wrick,s ecovalance and shoukla,s stability variance were the most stable cultivars. According to Eberhart and Russell routine, Alamoot with high yield, regression coefficient near one, deviation from regression near zero and highest R2 was the most stable cultivar.
