Title
Stability performance of maize hybrids by using regression method of Eberhart and Russel
Authors
Abstract
Generally, there are four techniques for evaluating the stability of a series of Cultivars that include: analysis of variance, regression analysis, Non-parametric methods and multivariate analyze. In this research 15 maize hybrids were studied in form of randomized complete block design with 4 replicates across 6 environments including 3 agriculture research center (Karaj , Mashhad and Jiroft) in two years(1390-1391). For studying interaction effect and determining stable hybrids, Eberhart and Russell regression method was used. Results showed that genotypes NO.2, 14, 10 and 3 respectively with average yield higher than Total average, the regression coefficient And deviation from regression line non-significant, Have general adaptation desired.Genotypes NO.7, 8, and 1 with a mean yield (almost) Near the average and non-meaningful regression coefficient, were identified as Genotypes stable with general average adaptation.
